Yes! For solar in general, the energy you make will first go into your house. Any extra energy is then sent to the grid. The grid then keeps track of the credits you give them alongside with the kWh you take from them. Presently, SCE values those credits around 30 cents+. In the future, what you give them will be closer to 8 cents. To avoid the utilities de-valuing your solar energy, thus reducing the value of your investment, the strategy would be to ensure that you don't give them anything! This happens in three ways:

1. Ensure that you use energy when the sun is out (before 4PM). If you ensure that you are using all of the solar energy, then the utility won't have the chance to de-value it! This includes making sure you charge the car during the afternoon (before 4PM). 
2. Have a smaller system. Unfortunately, the world of getting rid of your entire bill is gone. The more solar you install, the greater you will experience diminishing returns due to utilities devaluing extra energy. If you have a system sized to get rid of only partial of your energy demand, the economics work better. 
3. Install a battery! Batteries allow you to store the energy on-site and self consume your solar energy at other times of the day, and allows you to sell back to the grid between 4-9 for full market value (60cents!). Batteries are now typically a required part of each job to make solar economical in California. We especially recommend "non backup" batteries, as they are much more affordable. We feel that backup of the future will be from bi-directional charging of electric vehicles.

We are firmly against Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) and leases. We feel as if with the new changes within the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) to the 30% solar Investment Tax Credit (ITC) there is no reason not to own. Many companies hide outrageous commissions into long financing and PPA rates. We do not find that ethical. Due to our 25 year warranties and performance guarantees, we enjoy taking business away from PPA companies.

Yes. We have a variety of financing offerings. However, we offer cash prices as well. We strongly believe that there are other financing opportunities on the market, such as HELOC and Credit Union Financing, that is better than financing that you can get from any solar company. Other competitors make money off of forcing you into a bad financing plan with high dealer fees. We don't do that. Also, we do offer credit card payments with no CC fees! 

We have access to all manufacturers. However, we prefer American made solar with longer warranties and efficiencies. We particularly like Qcell panels 405w on up.

We almost exclusively utilize IQ8A Enphase microinverters. Microinverters offer no single point of failure by having the AC/DC conversion happen at each individual panel. As a result, it is easy to ensure that each and every panel and inverter is working optimally. Enphase has excellent warranties, customer support, and monitoring capabilities. For ADU installations, we use AP System Microinverters.

Yes! We bring an exceptional amount of experience in installing Enphase Batteries in particular.

Yes! We do a lot of work cleaning up systems that older companies have abandoned. Most old inverters are the "weakest link" for older systems and are now out of warranty. We will gladly update your system with you at an economical price.
